My name is Kayla Fong. I am from Oakland, California. I am a rising sophmore at Life Acaemy of Health and Bio-Science Highschool also, located in Oakland.I live with my an entire family. I have a total of 7 siblings including myself, plus my parents is 9 people in total. All my life I grew up in Oakland, from witnessing gun violence, drugs, alcoholism etc... I love my city and I love where I am from. A couple other things you should know about me is that I want to travel when I get older. I want to get to know the world better than I know it. I want to experience other things that I haven't yet experienced. The first time I traveled, I went to Reno, Nevada. I know its not far but the car ride was pretty cool. I seen a lot of things I haven't seen before. One of my core values is love. Love is one of my core values because love is strong. Love is a big and bright thing that can lead to other core values like respect, loyalty etc... which are some of my other core values. When I grow up, I want to pursue a career of a cardiologist. I want to puruse that career because I want to help people and give the people who need a second chance, a second chance.
I have a really big family. Like I said prior to this, I have a family of 9 people. My parents were really young when they first fell inlove. My mom had my oldest sister, Kathleen at 18. She is now 20 years old. After my parents had my oldest sister, they had my oldest brother, Jeremy who is now 18. Two years later, they had my second oldest brother, Damien who is now 16. They decided to have me, I am now 15. After me, they had three more kids. Kaitlyn, she is 12, Kathryn she is 10, and my baby sister, Kalani who just turned 1. See, I told you I had a big family. All the kids have lived in Oakland all of our lives. My parents were both born in Thailand and came to the United States when they were at a young age. So, yeah thats about it!
